Road Safety Awareness Class

Promoting Safety, Responsibility and Responsible Road Use

As part of the Value Education Class, the Department of Computer Science, Don Bosco College, Mannuthy, organised a Road Safety Awareness Class on 8 September 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the College Auditorium. The programme was organised with the objective of creating awareness among students about road safety, traffic rules and responsible behaviour on the road.

The session was led by Mr. Binoj S, Assistant Motor Vehicles Inspector, RTO, Thrissur, who shared valuable insights into safe and responsible road usage. He highlighted the importance of following traffic regulations, wearing helmets and seat belts, obeying traffic signals, avoiding distracted driving and maintaining discipline while travelling. The session also helped students understand the serious consequences that can result from careless or irresponsible behaviour on the road.

The awareness class was an informative and meaningful initiative that connected value education with real-life responsibility. It encouraged students to become more alert, disciplined and responsible road users and reminded them that road safety is a shared responsibility. The programme concluded with a strong message that responsible choices on the road can protect lives and contribute to building a safer society.
