The Department of Commerce at Don Bosco College, Mannuthy, offers Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) programmes in Finance and Computer Applications, meticulously designed to nurture competent, ethical, and future-ready commerce professionals. Rooted in academic excellence and aligned with the evolving needs of the business world, these programmes provide students with a comprehensive understanding of commerce while fostering analytical thinking, innovation, and professional competence.
The curriculum builds a strong foundation in the core functional areas of business, including Accounting, Finance, Taxation, Marketing, and Human Resource Management, complemented by extensive exposure to digital technologies and contemporary business practices. The B.Com. Finance programme equips students with specialized knowledge in financial management, investment, banking, and taxation, while the B.Com. Computer Applications programme seamlessly integrates commerce with information technology, preparing students to excel in today's digitally driven business environment.
Designed in accordance with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the programme follows a comprehensive six-semester structure comprising Core Courses, Skill Enhancement Courses, Vocational Courses, Ability Enhancement Courses, and multidisciplinary learning opportunities. This holistic curriculum encourages academic excellence while promoting practical knowledge, critical thinking, and lifelong learning.
