Association Day Inauguration: CS and Mathematics Department
The Computer Science and Mathematics Department of Don Bosco College, Mannuthy, organized its Association Day Inauguration on Friday, August 1st, at 9:30 AM in the College Auditorium. The session focused on the theme “Future-Proof Yourself: The Mindset, Skills, and Tech for Tomorrow”.
The event featured Mr. Anish S, CEO of Logix Space, as the esteemed guest and keynote speaker. He delivered an insightful session emphasizing the importance of cultivating a future-ready mindset, developing essential skills, and embracing technological advancements to thrive in an evolving digital landscape.

Reel 2 Real Cinematic Showdown
The Department of Computer Science and Mathematics at Don Bosco College, Mannuthy, successfully organized the much-anticipated event "Reel 2 Real Cinematic Showdown" on August 1, 2025, at 1:00 PM in the college auditorium.
With the tagline "Bring the reel to real and let your team dazzle the stage!", the event aimed to blend creativity with performance, offering students a platform to re-enact and reinterpret cinematic scenes with originality and flair.
A total of six dynamic teams participated in the showdown, representing various departments across the college. Each team delivered captivating performances that brought film scenes to life with innovative interpretations, stagecraft, and enthusiastic teamwork.

Jewelry Making Workshop
The Jewellery Making Workshop organized by the ED Club at Don Bosco College, Mannuthy was inaugurated by the esteemed Principal, Rev. Fr. Jimmy Jose. The event began with a welcome address by the coordinator, Jofi P. Vareed, and Vice Principal Ms. Minu Thomas extended her felicitations.
Third-year undergraduate students Malavika and Sehan jointly led the training session, guiding the participants through the process of jewellery making. A variety of attractive ornaments were crafted during the session.
Ms. Anagha, the ED Club coordinator, other faculty members, and around sixty students actively participated in the workshop.

A Visual Journey to the Paddy Fields
As part of the FYUGP MDC syllabus "Kerala Society and Scientific Heritage", the Department of Languages, Don Bosco college Mannuthy organized a program titled "A Visual Journey to the Paddy Fields", which turned out to be a fascinating experience for the students.
They had the opportunity to witness various stages of paddy cultivation firsthand, engage in discussions with agricultural experts, study the biodiversity of the paddy fields, and get familiar with organic fertilizers and farming tools.
These enriching lessons truly emerged from "paths of goodness, rooted in the essence of the land.

MR AND MISS TECHIE 2025
The Department of Computer Science and Mathematics successfully conducted the much-anticipated event “Mr. and Miss Techie 2025” on 23rd July 2025. The program aimed to identify and celebrate students who exhibited confidence, creativity, and technical knowledge.
Preliminary rounds were held prior to the main event, consisting of three rounds designed to evaluate the participants' general aptitude, and technical wit. From these, a group of finalists was shortlisted for the final stage.
The grand finale took place in the College Boardroom and witnessed active participation and enthusiastic support from students. Finalists competed on tasks that tested their presence of mind, and technical awareness.
The winners of Mr. Techie 2025 and Miss Techie 2025 will be felicitated during the association Inauguration.

PATHWAYS AND PERSPECTIVES: AN ALUMNI CONNECT
On 30th July 2025, the Department of English, conducted an Alumni interaction programme for second year students.Our Former Student Shezin Joby was the speaker ,who is presently pursuing her M-ed in UK.She interacted with the students about her studies abroad and about her new book.Also inspired students to have a new Outlook for their future endeavours.

LA VOZ
The Drama and Theatre Club, in association with the Department of English, successfully conducted La Voz: A Session on Theatre for Confidence and Communication on 30/07/2025 at college auditorium.The session was led by the Chief Guest, Reshma Ralgin Ma’am, who engaged the students in an interactive and energetic theatre experience.

PTA MEETING JULY 2025
The Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) meeting(Second year students) of Don Bosco College, Mannuthy was held on 26th July 2025 in the college auditorium. The meeting commenced at 10:00 AM with a welcome address by the Manager Fr Cyril Examination SDB, who emphasized the importance of parental involvement in students' academic and personal development.
The gathering was attended by faculty members, 150 parents. Various issues concerning academic performance, discipline, attendance, and student welfare were discussed. Fr.Dr.Sijohn Kuzhikatumyalil delivered a talk about "Parenting in the digital age"
A fruitful interaction session followed, allowing parents to voice concerns and suggestions. The management assured
prompt attention and action on the points raised.

Seminar on AI in Modern Learning
The Department of Computer Science & Mathematics at Don Bosco College, Mannuthy, conducted a seminar on “Smart Classrooms, Smarter Minds: AI Role in Modern Learning” on 25th July 2025 at 9:30 AM in the AV Hall.
The session was led by Mr. Kumaresan. K, Assistant Professor & Head, Department of Computer Science, Government College, Kasaragod. He shared valuable insights on the integration of AI in education and its impact on modern classrooms. The seminar was part of the Empowering Minds: Seminar Series 2025 and was well-received by students and faculty alike.

COMMERCE COLLECTIVE: ASSOSIATION DAY
On 25 th July 2025 department of commerce organized department association inauguration "Commerce Collective" in the college auditorim.CA Sony C L, founder of Sony C L & Associates was the chief guest. The cultural program showcases student talent through various performances like dances, songs, and music band.

SEMINAR ON PROJECT ORIENTATION
Department of Computer Science organized a seminar for third year students; "PROJECT ORIENTATION 2025" at 11h July 2025, 10.00am. More than 80 participants took part in the seminar. Mr. Gopikrishnan P.G, CEO, of Grapesgenix Technical Solutions Pvt. Ltd, Thrissur, was the Resource Person. This seminar was aimed on providing knowledge on project orientation and to provide an overview of advanced tools and methodologies to be used in Project development.

PROJECT GENESIS:LAYING THE FOUNDATION
Don Bosco College Mannuthy organized an orientation session titled “Project Genesis: Laying the Foundation” on 18th July 2025 for final-year Management students. The session, led by Dr. Dean Martin C, focused on project topic selection, research methods, and report writing. It provided valuable guidance and boosted students' confidence to begin their academic project work effectively.

ANTI-RAGGING ORIENTATION SESSION
On 14th July 2025, the Department of Social Work, Don Bosco College, Mannuthy, organized an Anti-Ragging Orientation Session. The session was led by Mr. Sugathan A.K., Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police, Mannuthy Police Station, who briefed the students on the legal aspects of ragging and the importance of maintaining a safe and respectful campus environment.

ANTI-DRUG DAY
As part of ANTI-DRUG DAY, Department of Psychology in collaboration with Nasha Mukth Bharat Abhiyaan & DREAM conducted Quiz competition, Drawing competition, Slogan slam, Short film making and a session on ANTI DRUG AWARENESS from 23rd June to 15 July. These sessions aimed to explain the physical, mental, legal, and social consequences of substance abuse and to teach each students about the dangers of drugs, alcohol, and tobacco.

HEALTH AWARENESS CLASS ON "RAINY SEASON DISEASES"
The NSS Unit of Don Bosco College, Mannuthy, conducted a Health Awareness Class on “Rainy Season Diseases” on 23rd July 2025 . The session aimed to educate students on common monsoon illnesses and preventive measures. Under the guidance of Rev. Fr. Jimmy Jose SDB, Principal, the program was coordinated by Ms. Liji Gboy (NSS Program Officer) and Mr. Vijay Bastian (Assistant Program Officer). Dr. Reji V Mathew, Jr. Health Inspector and eHealth Master Trainer, led the session, sharing insights on diseases like dengue, typhoid, and cholera, and stressed the importance of hygiene and sanitation. Students actively engaged in the interactive session, which included practical tips and a Q&A. The program concluded with a vote of thanks, appreciating the resource person and organizers. The session proved informative and valuable for student health awareness.
