Christmas Celebration at DIVYAHRUYASRAM : By NSS Unit
The NSS Unit of Don Bosco College, Mannuthy celebrated Christmas with the inmates of Divyahrudayashram, Chennaipara.
As part of the celebration, the NSS volunteers distributed cakes to the inmates and actively engaged with them through various cultural programmes. The volunteers organized dances and games, creating a joyful and festive atmosphere. The programme helped to spread the message of love, care, and togetherness, reflecting the true spirit of Christmas.

Christmas Carol Visit
The Jesus Youth members of Don Bosco College, Mannuthy organised a Christmas Carol visit to the District Hospital on 19th December 2025 as part of their Christmas outreach activities. The visit was undertaken with the intention of spreading joy, hope, and the true spirit of Christmas among patients, hospital staff, and visitors.

Mastering Emotions: A Workshop by the Department of Psychology and Mindcraft
The Department of Psychology at Don Bosco College, Mannuthy, in collaboration with "Mindcraft," organized a specialized session titled "Emotional Management through Behavior Techniques". The event featured Mr. Jayan Namboodiri as the resource person. Scheduled for December 15, 2025, the session commenced at 10:00 AM at the Auditorium. The program aimed to explore behavioral techniques for better emotional regulation, supported by the Mindcraft initiative, which operates under the tagline "We Listen, Care & Cure".

Rhythms of Revival: Introducing the Unarvu 2025 Musical Ensemble
Don Bosco College, Mannuthy, is set to present "Unarvu 2025" (translating to "Awakening" or "Revival"), a featured musical event for the upcoming year. The promotional material highlights a dynamic musical ensemble, showcasing a full band that includes vocalists, a drummer, a guitarist, a violinist, and a keyboard player. Presented by the college, which is NAAC accredited with a B+ grade, this event promises to be a vibrant showcase of artistic performance and musical talent.

Lumina 2025: Two-Day Spiritual Renewal at Don Bosco College
Don Bosco College, Mannuthy, organized a two-day residential spiritual renewal programme titled "Lumina: Arise & Shine". The event was scheduled to commence on December 12, 2025, at 9:30 AM and conclude on December 13, 2025, at 2:00 PM. The sessions were guided by the resource person, Fr. Manu Pottananiyil MST, and centered around the inspiring theme from Isaiah 60:1, "Arise and shine; your light has come". This initiative aimed to provide a focused environment for spiritual growth and reflection for the attendees at the college campus.

Tarang 2025 A Celebration of Arts and Culture at Don Bosco College
Don Bosco College, Mannuthy, successfully hosted "TARANG 2025," its annual Fine Arts Festival, on December 9, 2025. The cultural extravaganza was graced by Chief Guest Rev. Dr. Fr. Jose Thomas Koyickal, Provincial of the Sacred Heart Province, Bangalore. The event witnessed spirited competition among the students, culminating in Team THAALAM emerging as the prestigious Winner of TARANG 2025. Team LAYAM also delivered an outstanding performance, securing the position of First Runner-up. The festival served as a vibrant platform for showcasing the artistic talents and creativity of the college community.

On December 9, Don Bosco College, Mannuthy, marked a significant literary milestone with the official publishing of its new college newsletter. The release was inaugurated by the esteemed Chief Guest, Rev. Dr. Fr. Jose Thomas Koyickal (Provincial, Sacred Heart Province, Bangalore). In observance of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the Department of Social Work, Don Bosco College, Mannuthy, organized a Movie Screening on 4th December 2025 at 1:00 PM in the college auditorium. Varna Keralam – Kerala Piravi Celebration
The Department of Languages of Don Bosco College, Mannuthy, organized “Varna Keralam” in connection with Kerala Piravi Day on 3rd November 2025 at 1:00 p.m. in the college auditorium.
The chief guest of the event was Dr. Shaijy C. Muringathery, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Malayalam, Little Flower College, Guruvayoor. The programme celebrated Kerala’s cultural richness through various performances and activities.

Creative Wings: Meet with Content Writer
The Department of English, Don Bosco College, Mannuthy, organized an outreach programme titled “Meet with Content Writer” on 1st November 2025. The session was led by Mr. Jebin Joseph, Content Builder, who spoke on “Techniques for Advertisement on Social Media Platforms, Television, and Print Media.”
The interactive session offered students valuable insights into creative advertising and content strategies.Mr. Jebin Joseph captivated the audience with his insights on crafting impactful advertisements and the art of connecting with audiences through compelling storytelling. He elaborated on the importance of creativity, consistency, and content strategy in the digital age.
The session was both informative and interactive, providing students with practical knowledge and real-world applications of media and advertising concepts.

Session on Civil Service Exam Preparation
The Placement Cell of Don Bosco College, Mannuthy, in collaboration with Primus Institutions, organized a session on “How to Clear Indian Civil Services and Other Exams Easily” on October 27, 2025.
The session, led by Mr. Simon Tharakan from Primus Institutions, provided first-year students with valuable insights and strategies for competitive exams like the IAS, IPS, and IFS. Over 150 students participated enthusiastically in the interactive seminar, which included presentations, videos, and a quiz activity.

THIRIKE – RECREATIONAL PROGRAM BY NSS UNIT
The NSS volunteers of Don Bosco College, Mannuthy organized a recreational program titled “Thirike” at Divyahrudayashram, Chennaipars on October 28, 2025.
As part of the program, the Principal of Divyahrudayashram delivered an informative class about the institution, its mission, and the services it provides for the community. The session helped the volunteers gain a deeper understanding of the ashram’s role and contributions to society.
The initiative reflected the volunteers’ commitment to community engagement and spreading happiness through interaction and teamwork. The event concluded with positive feedback and appreciation from the participants.

AZORA – COLLEGE UNION INAUGURATION
The College Union “AZORA” for the academic year 2025–2026 was officially inaugurated on October 24, 2025 in a vibrant ceremony held on campus. The event marked a proud moment for the college community as the newly elected union members took charge with a vision to enhance student engagement and campus activities.
The inauguration was honored by the presence of Dr. Benny Joseph Neelankavil, CEO of Jubilee Mission Hospital, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. In his thought-provoking speech, Dr. Joseph emphasized the importance of leadership, discipline, and teamwork in shaping a better future.
Following this, the oath-taking ceremony for the newly elected union was administered by Principal Rev. Fr. Dr. Jimmy Jose SDB, who expressed confidence in the team and encouraged them to uphold the values and spirit of the institution.

COLLEGE MAGAZINE RELEASE
The much-awaited college magazine “Luminescence” for the academic year 2024–2025 was officially released on October 24, 2025 in a grand ceremony held on campus. The magazine was unveiled by Dr. Benny Joseph, Neelankavil CEO of Jubilee Mission Hospital, who graced the occasion as the chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Benny Joseph appreciated the creativity of the students and encouraged them to continue expressing their talents through writing and art.
This edition of “Luminescence” is led by Student Editor: Ms. Athira C, whose efforts, along with the support of the dedicated editorial team, have shaped the magazine into a vibrant collection of ideas and achievements. The Editorial Board for this year includes Ms. Steffy Sunny, Mr. Rinto Antony, and Mr. Lijo Jose, who worked tirelessly to ensure the quality and presentation of the publication.
