Beyond Ideas: Hands-on Workshop on Project Proposal Writing

The Department of Social Work, Don Bosco College, Mannuthy, successfully organized "Beyond Ideas", a hands-on workshop on Project Proposal Writing, on 28 July 2026 at the AV Hall. The workshop was designed to equip students with the practical knowledge and skills required to develop well-structured and impactful project proposals.

The resource person for the session was Dr. Subhitha Menon U., Social Safeguard cum Communication Expert, Kerala Solid Waste Management Project (KSWMP), who shared her extensive expertise in project planning and proposal development. Through an engaging and interactive approach, she guided participants on the essential components of proposal writing, including problem identification, objective formulation, project planning, budgeting, and effective proposal preparation.

The workshop provided students with valuable hands-on experience and practical insights into transforming innovative ideas into feasible and sustainable community development initiatives. Interactive discussions, real-world examples, and collaborative activities further enriched the learning experience, enabling participants to strengthen their project design and critical thinking skills.

The programme was coordinated by Ms. Ragi M. R., Assistant Professor, Department of Social Work, while Mr. Akshay (II MSW) served as the Student Coordinator, ensuring the smooth conduct and successful execution of the event. The workshop concluded with positive feedback from participants, who appreciated the practical orientation of the session and its relevance to their academic and professional development.
