UNCHAINED – Choose Dreams Over Drugs: Inspiring Students to Build a Drug-Free Society

As part of the observance of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, the Mental Health and Wellness Club, the Departments of Social Work and Psychology, in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), organized "UNCHAINED – Choose Dreams Over Drugs" on 29 June 2026.

The programme was inaugurated by Dr. Fr. Jimmy Jose SDB, who encouraged students to choose a drug-free life and pursue their dreams with determination and purpose.

An informative awareness session was conducted by Mr. Nithin K. N., Civil Police Officer, Munakkakkadavu Police Station, who highlighted the harmful effects of drug abuse, its social impact, and the legal consequences associated with the use and trafficking of illicit drugs.

A powerful mime performance presented by the II BSW students effectively conveyed the importance of resisting drug addiction, making responsible life choices, and embracing a healthy and positive lifestyle.

The programme successfully raised awareness, motivated students to stay away from drugs, and inspired them to become responsible citizens committed to building a drug-free society.
