Policy for Counseling
Counseling sessions
Counseling sessions for female students with psychological problems including: Upsetting events, normal developmental challenges, difficulty in adjusting with the college environment, emotional crises and mental health problems, also academic and health issues or any concern that the student might need help with. Students will be treated based upon short term, time-limited counseling that emphasizes life skills enhancement. Students with more specialized counseling’s needs will be provided with advice to consult professionals. If the student is referred to an outside resource, it’s his responsibility to follow-up
Confidentiality
Each individual is entitled to privacy in her session with the counsellor. All contact methods with the counsellor are confidential. Written permission is required for Counseling Services to release information to others. If it becomes clear in the counseling session that there is a real danger to the student or others, it is required to take action to help maintain safety. Counsellors are legally and ethically required to address these kinds of imminent safety risks, even if it involves breaking confidentiality
Documentation
A record is kept of an individual's work with Counseling Unit. It contains the student information that she provided to Women Cell as well as counseling notes of each individual sessions. Records are kept in secure electronic and paper form.
Disability
Students who face difficulties with their studies due to their disability (permanent or temporary disability / medical condition or mental and psychological disorder) are eligible to be treated as special need students based on their condition and their medical reports. Students must provide appropriate documentation (official medical report) within the proper period of time (at the beginning of each semester) to be eligible to arrange a support and assistance.
Student Skills and Activities Record Student who participate in non-academic activities will be recorded under Student Skills and Activates Record.
CCTV Maintenance Policy
Process involved in the maintenance of CCTV Cameras includes
- Check the camera lens is focused and adjusted properly
- Check the cameras view hasn’t been knocked off path and you can see the area perimeter clearly.
- Clean any dust or marks off the camera lens with a can of compressed air and wipe down the camera casing with a microfiber cloth.
- Check that the motion detection sensors are working.
- Check wiring for any wear and tear or exposed wires.
- Check the loose wires.
- Check that the monitors are showing a clear picture and that the brightness and contrast settings are correctly adjusted.
- Check the correct date and time stamp is set
Solar Panel Maintenance policy
Processes involved in the maintenance of solar panels and solar power plants includes
- The timely and regular cleaning of solar cells and PV panels
- Regular maintenance of all thermal-based components
- Servicing of HT side equipment on an annual basis
- Diagnosis and tests pertaining to low solar power production
- Testing and upkeep of circuits
- Tracing of IV curves and thermal imaging
- Measure of earth value
- Retro-commissioning
- Management of warranties
- System checks pertaining to data acquisition.
Maintenance policy of Sensor based Energy Conservation system
Processes involved in the maintenance of sensor based energy conservation system includes.
- The timely and regular cleaning of electronics circuit and sensors
- Regular maintenance of all circuit component
- servicing of components in monthly basis
- Testing and upkeep of circuits
- Annual maintenance
- Regular debugging and updating of mobile App
Solid waste management Maintenance Policy
- Ensure that the waste bins are properly placed in different areas of Campus
- Make sure that students and faculty are using the waste bins accurately.
- Check that the waste is collected and disposing frequently in a proper way.
- Ensure that food waste is used in Poultry farm and the waste from Poultry farm is using for compost.
- To minimise waste generation at source and facilitate repair, reuse and recycling over the disposal of wastes in a cost effective manner.
- To promote environmental awareness in order to increase and encourage waste minimisation, reuse and recycling.
- To promote holistic approach of waste management in the campus
Liquid waste management Maintenance Policy
- Ensure that the Pipe lines are properly placed and no leakage is there
- Make sure that students and faculty are minimizing the wastage of water.
- Ensure that the purified waste water is reused in pisciculture and gardening of plants
- To minimize waste generation at source and facilitate repair, reuse and recycling over the disposal of wastes in a cost effective manner.
- To promote environmental awareness in order to increase and encourage waste minimization, reuse and recycling.
- To promote holistic approach of waste management in the campus
Maintenance policy of Rain water Harvesting system
Periodic maintenance of rain water harvesting system is mandatory to ensure its functionality resulting into availability of good collected rain water both in terms of quality and quantity.
- Before the onset of rainy season all the catchment areas including the roof of all buildings, roads, vacant lands need to be cleaned thoroughly to remove debris, twigs, plant/tree residues, plastic etc.
- All pipes/ joints need to checked for any leakages. Storm water drains to be cleaned and freed of silt, sludge, debris etc. to avoid any possibility of obstruction in flow. All drains need to cover with the provision of storm water entrance, to prevent the contamination and any safety hazard.
- Timely maintenance of various pumps, auto-on/off switches, earthing system etc. to be checked and ensured.
- All the storage areas need to be cleaned for sludge etc. In case of presence of a filter unit, it has to be regularly cleaned and washed or replaced.
- Suitable budget may be allocated for installation and renovation of the system
Maintenance policy of Open Well
- Maintain the well and recharge pipes by cleaning and desilting regularly – at least once in an year
- To ensure water quality, well water should be tested annually for total coliform bacteria and E. colibacteria by a state accredited testing laboratory.
- Every three years, additional testing is recommended for pH and total dissolved solids as well as tests related to land uses occurring or expected to occur within sight of the well.
- Any soak or toilet pit and any building foundation and basement should be as far away from the recharge well.
- The recharge well should be covered with proper net.
Maintenance policy of Water Tank
Routine Inspections: Weekly
- Confirm gate locked, fence secure
- Check chlorine residuals in tank
- Check for leaks, rust, penetrations
- Check screens, vents, overflow, access hatches all secure
- Check level controls operational
- Check for spilling from overflow
- Check for unauthorized access
Annual Inspection
- Remove dirt and weeds from base of tank and outlet, and any vegetation that may scratch tank shell
- Check interior of tank and riser
- Check tank shell to foundation connection
- Check for concrete deterioration
Policy Regarding Ban Of Plastic
- Ensure plastic-free campuses in the institutions. Students and faculty must work towards this in mission mode. Usage of plastics should be stopped in canteens, in the institution’s premises. Students may not be permitted to bring non-bio-degradable plastic items to the institution
- Every student will strive to make his/her household plastic free.
- Installation of necessary alternative facilities like water units to avoid the purchase and use of plastic water bottles.
- Ensure presence of alternative solutions like cloth bags etc., to plastic bottles, covers and other goods on campuses.
- Conducting events and poster competitions etc. on designing ecological and environment friendly goods to minimise the use of single use plastic.
- If any one bring any non degradable waste , throw it in separate waste bin colored Red.
Maintenance Policy Regarding Ban Of Plastic
- The authorities regularly checking any use of plastic in campus.
- Make sure that alternative facilities are used by the students.
- Regular removing of waste, if any thing in the campus is found.
